Terms of Use

These terms apply to books.dangon.co and to nothing else. The other Dangon sites — learn, help, tools and books — are separate services under their own terms. Using this site means you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use it.

Dangon Books is a free reading room. There is no account, no purchase, no subscription and nothing to install. Books are PDF files held in object storage and rendered inside your browser tab; nothing is installed on your device except what your browser caches on its own.

Please do not:

• Interfere with the site, or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it.
• Rehost, reframe or redistribute anything from here as your own work.
• Bulk-download the library with automated tools, or hotlink the files from another site.
• Use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.

There is no chat, no messaging, no profile and no way to upload anything here, so there is no user-generated content to moderate. That is deliberate — see our content policy.

Children are welcome. Books are shelved by reading level, and our content policy sets out both what is never in the library and how adult shelves are labelled.

Shelves are guidance, not a gate: nothing here asks a reader's age or blocks a page, because that would mean collecting information about children. If you are a parent or guardian and something on this site does not sit right with you, email us and we will look at it. Reading needs no personal information, so there is no account for a parent to manage.

Most books here are in the public domain in the United States, or are published under a licence that allows redistribution; the licence and the original source are printed on each book's own page, and your rights in those works come from that licence, not from us. Books Dangon wrote, together with the site's design, text and code, belong to Dangon: you may read them, link to them and tell people about them, but not rehost or sell them.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, email dango@dangon.co with the title, the URL, the rights you hold and how to reach you. We remove the file while we review the notice, rather than after. Repeat or bad-faith notices are ignored. See the content policy for what we host and why.

The page you stopped on and any bookmarks you set are stored in your browser, not on our servers. We cannot see them, restore them, or move them to another browser or device. Clearing your browser data deletes them for good.

The site is free and provided as-is. We may add books, remove books, or take the site down for maintenance without notice. We do not promise it will always be available.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dangon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this free service, including lost progress or lost time. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The site is operated from the United States.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
