Privacy Policy

books.dangon.co has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask you who you are, and we do not build a profile of you. Your reading progress and bookmarks are saved in your own browser and never sent to us.

This policy covers books.dangon.co only. The other Dangon sites — learn, help, tools and books — are separate services with their own privacy policies.

Directly from you: nothing. There is no form, no login and no upload on this site.

Automatically, our hosting provider records the ordinary request logs any web server keeps — IP address, time, page requested, browser user-agent — for security and to keep the site running. We do not use those logs to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Book files are not served from this site. When you open a book, your browser fetches the PDF directly from our storage provider, which sees that request the way any web server sees a request for a file: an IP address, a time and a file name. We do not send it your reading position, your bookmarks or anything else about you, because we do not have them.

The reader saves where you are using your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and never reaches our servers. We store:

• The page you stopped on in each book, and when you last opened it.
• Any pages you bookmarked, per book.
• Your light/dark theme preference.

Clearing your browser's site data for books.dangon.co erases all of it permanently. Because this data is tied to this site's address, what you read here is separate from anything saved on any other Dangon site.

This library is for all ages and children read from it. We designed the site so that reading requires no personal information at all: no account, no name, no email, no photo, no chat and no way to message another player.

Because we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, there is nothing for a parent to review or delete on our side. Everything a child's reading creates lives in the browser on their own device and can be cleared there.

If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, contact us at dango@dangon.co and we will delete it.

This site currently shows no advertising. If we introduce ads, they will be non-personalised and contextual only — chosen from the page they appear on, never from a profile of the person reading it — because children are part of this site's audience. We will not run interest-based or retargeted advertising here.

We will update this policy and this page's date before any ad unit goes live. See our content policy for what may and may not appear on the site.

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not hold any. We may disclose server logs if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of the service.

• Delete everything this site has stored about you by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
• Block local storage entirely in your browser — the books still run, they just will not remember reading progress.
• Ask us any privacy question by email; we answer every one.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes — for example, turning on advertising — will be described in plain language rather than slipped into a paragraph.
