About Dangon Books

books.dangon.co is a reading room. Every book here opens in the browser tab you already have open — there is no account to make, no app to install, and nothing to buy.

What is in the library

Three things, and nothing else: works whose copyright has expired, works published under a Creative Commons licence that permits sharing, and books Dangon wrote itself. If we cannot show why a book is legal to host, it is not hosted. The licence and the original source are printed on every book's page.

How reading works

Book files are PDFs held in object storage and streamed a chunk at a time, so a long book starts on screen without waiting for the whole file. The page you stopped on and any bookmarks you set are written to your own browser and never sent anywhere — see the privacy policy.

Suggesting a book

If a public-domain book belongs here, tell us at dango@dangon.co. If something here should not be, tell us the same way and it comes down while we check.
